

DOCA PVDF is an unreinforced polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with a crystalline structure. In addition to its good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties, it is also resistant to chemicals.
Like Teflon, PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) is a member of the fluoropolymer family. It is a material with higher strength than Teflon, also with excellent chemical resistance and high heat resistance. It can be used up to about 150 degrees Celsius, which is lower than Teflon, but a higher level of durability compared to common engineering plastics (e.g. POM or polyamide). In terms of heat resistance and mechanical properties, it is not yet at the level of the PEEK family, but this is also true of its price level, which places it between Teflon and PEEK, and PVDF, which is also available in rod, sheet and tube form. An electrically conductive (ELS) version is also available.

Machine components and assemblies - especially in the food industry, medicine - that need to be cleaned and sterilised frequently (e.g. milking machines, heat exchangers, filters, pumps, etc.)
