Market changes spur industrial recycler to expand its capabilities for recycling transparent plastics
Butler MacDonald was founded in 1983 as a scrap metal recovery company, and then switched to plastic recovery in the 1980s and '90s, following the emergence of a plethora of plastic products. More recently, the COVID epidemic caused a sudden change in the industry, with a surge in demand for plastics for personal protective equipment, food and drink containers, which inevitably brought change to Butler MacDonald.
