KraussMaffei FiberForm technology takes to the skies
During the Covid19 pandemic, a number of passenger aircraft were converted into cargo aircraft. With this goal in mind, a two-year collaboration between KraussMaffei and the National Institute for Aeronautics Research (NIAR) at the University of Wichita, using KraussMaffei FiberForm technology, has resulted in a thermoplastic acoustic window plug that weighs 20% less than the metal version (590 grams) previously used.
