Supercritical water-based plastic degradation can make chemical recycling more efficient
Due to the high reactivity of supercritical water compared to conventional pyrolysis
more efficient degradation processes can be achieved, which can be effectively applied to
chemical recovery of plastic waste. From the point of view of material recovery
or multicomponent wastes that are problematic for recycling, the new
hydrothermal process may be a favourable alternative.
