The world is demanding a reduction in plastic waste, especially from packaging manufacturers and users. They are well-intentioned, trying to limit the amount of packaging materials used and trying to "eliminate" them when they become waste after use. Another demand is for much greater use of sustainable renewable sources. Biopolymers, which have both non-degradable and degradable versions, can be useful in meeting both demands. They have been on the market for many years but are slow to catch on. Their development is timely and they will soon be in much greater demand.
