Hot runner technology was introduced to the plastics industry more than 50 years ago. Revolutionised by
the injection moulding process, improving product quality, process efficiency, reducing waste
and increasing cost-effectiveness. Its triumph is still ongoing, with a number of innovations at K’2019 in Düsseldorf
innovations, which, particularly when coupled with advanced control systems, appear to be the key to
promising.
