Up to now, foamed products have mainly been produced by chemical foaming, although they can also be foamed with gases without any additives. This requires a modification of the extruder, for which some machine manufacturers offer ready-made solutions. Another innovation is the addition of nanoscale foam builders to achieve even more precise adjustment of the foam structure.
