One of the tricky finishing operations in plastic processing is labelling. The automotive industry is increasingly demanding that products retain their identification markings throughout their life cycle and sometimes under extreme conditions. Laser beams have already proven their worth in this respect. Two new methods for colour marking plastic surfaces are described below.
