One of the new trends in the development of injection moulding is the use of vibration to produce higher quality products. The so-called oscillation flow created by ultrasonic vibration increases the mass of the product, the mapping of the mould cavity approaches 100%, and the residual internal stress in the piece is reduced. The process is demonstrated using the example of a concave lens.
